According to eye-witnesses, a lady was on her way to work by 6am when a thief attacked her with a dagger, gave her a cut on her left arm and collected her phones. The lady's shouts attracted people who ran after the thief & caught him. They gave him the beating of his life and handed him over to the local security agents. That is the guy in the van. Body found may be that of missing 15-year-old schoolgirl

A body has been found in the hunt for missing teenager, 15 year old, Kayleigh Haywood.

Officers searching for the 15-year-old discovered a body was found in a field in Ibstock, Leicestershire Police said. The grim discovery came as police launched a murder investigation.
Kayleigh was last seen by her family as they dropped her off outside a school not far from her home.
Her mobile phone and items of her clothing were found by police in different areas.
The 15-year-old was dropped outside Ibstock Community College in Leicestershire on Friday evening.
She called her family on the phone the following morning, but no trace of her has been seen since.

On Tuesday, the Mirror reported that two men have been arrested after the 15-year-old, who was last seen on Friday, told her parents she was going  for sleep over at her best friend’s house.
But it is believed she secretly met a man she had been in contact with on Facebook.
A source said: “Kayleigh had told her best friend about a man who had been messaging her on Facebook.

“They were both going to meet this man on Friday evening, but earlier in the week Kayleigh announced she was no longer going to meet him. 

“Usually she would spend the weekend with her best friend and her family. But Kayleigh told the girl that she would be going to visit an auntie instead.”

Detective Chief Superintendent David Sandall, Head of Crime, said: “We have become increasingly concerned for Kayleigh’s safety as the hours have passed since she was dropped off by her dad on Friday evening.

"Five days on, we’ve heard nothing from her, and this is completely out of character. “Since we started looking for her we have found her mobile phone in Melbourne Road, Ibstock and items of clothing which we believe are hers in the Ibstock and Diseworth areas. 

“In all the circumstances, we fear the worst and have told her family to prepare themselves that we are now treating her disappearance as a murder enquiry.

15 Traditional Kings In Osun protest poor electricity supply

No fewer than 15 traditional rulers from four local government areas of Osun State stormed the office of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company in Osogbo, to protest poor supply of electricity in their domains.

According to a statement made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Wednesday, the monarchs took the decision following threats of  violence from some of their subjects over the epileptic supply of electricity in their communities.

The traditional rulers, who  were led by the Olufi of Gbongan, Oba Adetoyese  Odugbemi, ‎had Apetumodu of Ipetumodu, Oba James  Adegoke, Akire of Ikire, Oba Olatunde Falabi; , Onikoyi of Ikoyi, Oba Yisau  Otunla; Olumoro of Moro, Oba Ezekiel  Oyeniyi;  Salu of Edunabon, Oba Elijah  Oyelade; Alayegun of Odeomu, Oba Lamidi Oke, among others.

The traditional rulers were said to have told the  IBEDC  Regional Technical Manager for Osogbo,  Mr. Salami Waheed, who attended to them that they would not leave the office unless they were given an assurance to take to their aggrieved subjects.

Man Slaughters Own 4 Children After Quarrel With Wife

A middle aged man, today in Kaduna slaughtered four of his children and attempted to kill himself after an alleged quarrel with his wife.


Neighbours told Vanguard that the man had quarrelled with the wife throughout the night, forcing her to leave the house located on Ahmadu Bello street in Kawo area of Kaduna metropolis.

Thereafter, the man allegedly locked the entrance to the house and used a knife to slaughter the four children aged between six to one year.

One of his children who was not in the house at the time, alerted the ward head of the area, when he found the door to the residence locked from inside on Wednesday afternoon.

When the neighbours and some policemen forced the door to the house open, the children were already dead while their father was still alive but in serious condition.
Police spokesman in the state, Zubairu Abubakar, said that the man and the children had been conveyed to St Gerards General Hospital in Kakuri, Kaduna.
He said that the police had commenced full investigation into the matter.

When Teni Adewumi surveyed African American salon workers in Inglewood, California, she kept seeing the same health concerns overand over. Asthma. Dermatitis. Hair loss. Uterine fibroids. Miscarriage. Veteran stylists told her they experienced symptoms when they applied relaxers and other chemical hair straighteners, and they now preferred working with natural styles. But many didn’t know that the products they used could be making them sick.
Adewumi, a graduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles, Fielding School of Public Health, works to close that knowledge gap as the environmental-justice program coordinator at the California nonprofit Black Women for Wellness. In salons across Inglewood and South Los Angeles, she helps train stylists in safe products and practices, from ventilation and personal protective equipment to ergonomics and label comprehension. But her work is also part of a nationwide effort to make beauty salons safer for the people—mostly women—who work in them.
That starts with research. Epidemiological studies dating back to the 1980s have found that hair stylists are at risk for a range of chronic occupational-health conditions, including skin and respiratory diseases and adverse reproductive outcomes. Certain toxic chemicals found in hair glues and straighteners, such as formaldehyde, styrene, and trichloroethylene, have been linked to cancer, liver damage, and dermatitis.

The report adds,

When we held focus groups with salon workers, we found these stories of lack of education on chemical exposures and chemical-related health problems,” Adewumi says. “Even though they had all gone to beauty school, there was just really no training around what these products could do to your body and to your reproductive system.
To protect salon workers across the board, federal cosmetic regulations will need to change. Scranton and Adewumi want to see legislation that requires manufacturers to list ingredients on all beauty-product labels; bans ingredients linked to cancer, birth defects, and developmental harm; empowers the FDA to recall unsafe products; and enforces stricter salon safety standards. With the powerful chemical lobby standing in the way, advocates have their work cut out for them.

Our heart bleeds as we type this story because this fatal accident could have been avoided.

Last night, at around 11:30pm, a tragic incident occured at the Sango/Lagos Toll gate. 

A Dolapo Adetunji Blog reporter who was at the scene this morning to get some photos from the scene, spoke with some of the eyewitnesses and they narrated how the fatal accident (which involved a Dangote truck, a white bus carrying Yam and 10 vehicles) occured.

 An eyewitness who is one of the bread sellers by the side of the road told DAB "There was no traffic, i was about packing up when the two policemen on duty flagged down a white bus. They asked the driver to park and they went to check what he was carrying. The woman beside the driver now explained to them that they were carrying tubers of yam for her daughter's wedding holding this Thursday. Truly, when the officers checked the boot, they saw the many yams and asked the driver to give them something but the man was saying he didn't have anything to give. All this while, traffic was already piling upbecause the white bus was at the centre of the road and the other side of the road was bad. While arguing, a Dangote truck was speeding forth, the driver was horning because the brake of the truck had failed. By the time I could say jack, the truck had crushed the cars that were lined up behind the bus including the bus...i left my goods and ran away"

Confirming the account, another trader whose wooden shop was destroyed in the tragic incident said "The accident was terrible indeed. I am still in shock cos i could have died too. The policemen ran away, they have not showed up today. The woman and the driver were badly injured, we brought out about 18 bodies from the destroyed vehicles on the road and in the ditch this morning. Nothing happened to the Dangote truck driver" She said.

25 year old man rapes mother, child in Minna

Minna-Niger state Police Command has arrested one Yusuf Suleiman,25 years for allegedly raping a two and half year old girl at Dutsen Kura area Minna, the state capital.

Vanguard reports that the suspect had also raped mother of this child some years back.

The suspect who was paraded before Journalists at the Police headquarters in Minna yesterday confirmed to having canal knowledge of the minorbutattributed it to the devil,ASPBalaElkana told Journalists that the suspect had confessed that on the fateful day, he saw the little girl coming out of their house and lured her to a corner and had sex with her.

He advised parents to pay more attention to their wards and be weary of the familiarity of their neighbours towards their children pointing out that it could be a tactics of getting closer to their children before unleashing havoc on them.

Elkana said that the suspect will soon be charged to court as soon as Police concludes its preliminary investigations on the matter.

The mother of the child called Zainab in a brief interview with Joyrnalists said she had not been comfortable with the relationship between her husband and the suspected rapist because of a similar experience she had with him but had no way of separating them.

“I have never been comfortable with the suspect especially with his relationship with my husband because he raped me also when I was 10yrs old but I refused to tell anybody till today and that is why I am always uncomfortable anytime I see her because my mind is not clear to her and I still believe that he can still do the same to anybody but I never knew that she can do it to anybody close to me again talk less of my own child.”

According to her,”the suspect about ten years ago took me to where they were washing motorcycle and raped me in a corner there. I got to know that of my daughter when she was crying when she wanted to urinate. When I checked her closely to known why she was crying, I saw blood in her private part and after enquiries, she confessed that it was Yusuf who had canal knowledge with her and she was immediately rushed to the hospital where it was confirmed if being raped.

The father of the child, Lawal Adamu 30 years told Journalists that all he wanted is Justice against the suspect.

The suspect also confessed that he used to lure the girl with sweet or biscuit to bring her closer to him.
“I used to give her money to buy sweet, biscuits in the past but I dont know how devil used me to take her to a corner on the fateful day to have sex with her forcefully.

Woman fakes pregnancy, steals two-week-old Baby in Ogun

Police have rescued a two week- old baby girl allegedly stolen by a woman, Mrs Ifeoluwa Yekini, at Abule Ifo in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State. The police also arrested Yekini. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the incident yesterday, said the suspect had been monitoring the mother of the baby right from when she was pregnant.


Adejobi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the suspect eventually succeeded in stealing the child using deception. According to him, the baby girl was stolen on October 31 and rescued on November 14.

The police spokesman added that the suspect had also deceived her husband into believing that she was pregnant. Adejobi explained that having succeeded in stealing the baby, Yekini went into hiding at her parents’ village from where she called her husband and his relations on the phone, informing them that she had been delivered of a baby girl.

He said: “The suspect, who had been monitoring the mother of the baby while pregnant, went under the pretense of felicitating with the mother in her house at the same village, requested to back the baby, which the mother obliged her. “She went further by requesting from the mother to take the baby out to shop for the little baby girl.

But at the market, the suspect decided to run away with the baby to an unknown place. “The mother of the baby, after several efforts to locate her with the baby, then reported the case to the police at the Police Divisional Headquarters in Ifo for search and necessary investigation.”

In this post, i'd be giving you a rare glimpse inside Domino's pizza kitchen...where the global pizza brand is made. It's no secret that I am completely obsessed with Dominos pizza. In fact, since my first visit, I've been back several times and i just can't stay away. Some days ago, i was honored to be invited to a small party at their restaurant located at Ajao estate and also participate in a pizza-making class with other foodies such as Arthur, he hosts the drive time show on rhythm FM, princewill of Metro FM and a host of others. In my opinion, their pizza is top notch and is currently the best in the country and i've tried replicating it severally at hom shownHERE. 

 

Therefore, it was really exciting to be taught how to make this awesome delight by the makers.

Here's how domino's pizza is made::: 

The first step is to wash and sanitize your hands. Domino's pizza is made in a very controlled setting therefore all foreign objects and jewelries such as rings and watches had to be removed before going into the work area.

Next, you'd pick up a pizza dough and place on a flat surface with corn flour on it

Start stretching the dough by placing one hand on the dough as a guide and using the other hand to stretch the dough from the middle to bring it to size. 

Once it gets to the size of the screen, transfer the dough onto the screen and set into shape. With a ladle, pour a spoon of the domino's sauce on the dough and swirl. 

To evenly distribute the right amount of cheese on the pizza, the cheese is poured into a special spreader. After the cheese comes the other toppings such as pepperoni, olives, pineapple, chicken and just about anything. 

The pizza is then put in the oven and left to bake for some minutes. While in the oven, you watch till it comes completely out of the other end before removing it with the pizza scoop.

Princewill made his pizza in 2 mins 30secs, arthur made his in 2 mins 50 secs while i made  mine in 2 mins15 secs....that's a record right there! haha!!...the babe wasn't smiling :D 

The pizza is then transferred into the specially made box made with virgin paper before being sliced with a pizza cutter. 

This 20 year old Man has been stealing for the past 13 years!

20-year-old veteran robber, Yusuf Lawal, who started robbing at the age of seven, was recently arrested in Lagos alongside his gang member, Taju Alabi, aka Kolo. 

Apparently, police was patrolling Kadiri and Kano streets around 4am for their nightly checks at the same time when 19 armed robbers were operating in the community.

Lawal was caught stealing money, phones, and other valuables from a victim just after his accomplice had done the stabbing.
During his confession statement after being arrested, Lawal admitted that he began as a child-thief.
He said: “I am the only child of my parents. I grew up not knowing my mother, who died when I was still a child. I don’t know what my father does for a living.

“My father could not correct me because I always overpowered him whenever he attempted to do so. I later ran away from home and started living with a friend in Idi-Oro, Mushin.
“I started robbing when I was seven after I quit primary school. My friend, Sule, introduced me to robbery and we always went out to rob residents. We stole phones, money, and other valuables.

“Also, we usually rob very early in the morning. I will turn a new leaf if the police can release me.”
In his attempt to save himself, Alabi, denied knowing Lawal and said he had never participated in any of the robberies.
Drama ensued at the station in which Lawal was taking Alabi on a journey down memory lane to remind him that they were indeed partners in crime.
Lawal said: “On two different occasions, I stole phones and gave them to you to sell, which you did and we later shared the money.

“You saw me living large and you asked me for the secret, and I told you. We have been doing this together so tell the truth. When we were robbing people, you should have known this will be the end.”
18-year-old Alabi later gave in.
“Yes, he’s my friend and we have been friends since childhood. We met at Mushin. I work at a carwash and I am also a bus conductor. I have only stolen three phones. It is true that we rob people,” he added.

Agege Lagos Armed Robbery Attack: Robbers Storm Isale Oja, Raid 30 Buildings, Kill 1, Rape 3 Ladies

On Sunday over 20 robbers attacked several streets in Agege area of Lagos, carting away multi million naira valuables from victims.

In the attack that lasted for over 3 hours without police intervention, 3 ladies were raped while a father of two was killed.

Over 30 buildings were raided in the coordinated operation.

Helpless residents who called police during the robbery were shocked to see the police immediately after the bad guys left the street.

The wife of one of the victims, Hauwa narrated what happened on the day her husband, Usman Muhammed was shot dead.

“The robbers killed Muhammed after collecting N32,000 from him. They moved to Akerele and Papa Uku streets in the same community where they molested and robbed residents.”

“About 12:24am, we heard someone knocking on our door. We were surprised. My husband asked who was there, but the person didn’t answer My husband went and opened the door. He saw the armed robbers. They were four at the door. One of them pointed his gun at my husband. We later heard that others were outside, waiting.

They followed my husband into our apartment.” Hauwa explained that after the bandits gained entry into their apartment, they demanded Muhammed’s money and her own jewellery.

“My husband and I handed over the money and the jewellery. Just as they were leaving, my husband dashed into the kitchen, brought a knife and attempted to stab one of the robbers. It was at that point they shot him in the stomach.” 

Another lady who was hit by a stray bullet is clinging to life at the hospital.
